Notify me

When a visitor asks for a product you don't carry, the widget can offer to email them if you add it. Unmet demand then stops being a count and becomes a list of people who want to buy.

Turn it on

  1. Open Intelligence → Unmet demand.
  2. Switch on Offer "Notify me". Only the site owner can change it.

It's off by default and works on every plan.

What the visitor sees

Under an answer about a product you don't carry, a short form: "Want to know if we add gift cards?", an email field and a Notify me button, with the line "We only use your email to tell you about this product." After submitting, the visitor sees a confirmation.

AskVio decides when a question is about a product you don't carry by comparing it with your catalog (see Give Data). This works in any language.

What you get

  • Each Unmet demand card shows how many people want to be notified.
  • Export emails (CSV) downloads the list with the gap, the product the visitor named, their email, the date and the page. Import it into your email tool when you add the product.
  • The Monday Brief shows the counts next to each product.
  • GA4 receives notify_me_shown and notify_me_submitted with the product name, never the email address.

Privacy

  • Emails are stored only in AskVio, one entry per email and product, and only the site owner can export them.
  • You are responsible for using them only for the purpose stated in the form, and for mentioning the collection in your privacy policy.
  • Requests are rate-limited and respect your origin allowlist.
