Give Data to your widget

AskVio answers only from the content you give it, so the quality of your data decides the quality of the answers and of the gaps it finds. Manage everything in Data.

  • Crawlers: read pages from your site (one URL and its links, a list of pages, or your sitemaps). Crawls can run on a schedule to stay fresh.
  • Documents: upload PDFs or other files with knowledge that isn't on your site.
  • Instructions: tell the assistant about tone, policies or things to avoid.

Your product catalog

When a crawled page contains schema.org Product structured data (JSON-LD with name, description, image and price), AskVio stores it as a product. Products power the product cards in answers, and they are how AskVio tells "a product you don't carry" apart from "a question it couldn't answer". Most ecommerce platforms add this markup to product pages automatically; check yours with Google's Rich Results Test if product cards don't appear.

Your first crawl

  1. Open Data → New crawl.
  2. Enter a start URL and choose how pages are discovered and fetched.
  3. Set the page limit and, optionally, a schedule.
  4. Run the crawl and watch the pending, completed and error counters.
